One important rule to note is that sliding tackles are strictly prohibited in futsal. However, players are allowed to slide on the field for specific purposes, such as preventing the ball from going out of play or directing a pass towards the goal. This rule is in place to ensure player safety and fair play in this fast-paced indoor soccer variant.

Are There Free Kicks In Futsal?

In futsal, free kicks are indeed a part of the game. These free kicks are awarded when a team accumulates six or more fouls during a match. When the referee signals for a direct free kick due to the accumulation of fouls, there are specific rules to follow. One important rule is that if a player from the team taking the kick commits a foul that violates the Futsal Laws of the Game before the ball is put into play, the kick can still proceed as long as the kicker takes the kick within four seconds. However, if the kicker exceeds this time limit, the referees will not allow the kick to be taken. This rule helps maintain fairness and discipline in the game by ensuring that free kicks are executed promptly and within the established time frame.
